Top Ten Tuesdays is a meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish that features a new topic each week where we have to put down our top ten of it.

This week’s topic:
Top Ten Character Names I Love or Top Ten Unusual Character Names

I decided to ho with both names that I love but that are also unusal.

~In no particular order~

Opal Koboi

She might be the greatest villain in this series but I’ve always loved Opal Koboi as a name. It stands out!

Jericho Barrons

Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning
I couldn’t not add Barrons to this list. From book #1 I’ve loved him and his name! <3

Peregrine

Under The Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
I read this book pretty recently and I loved Perry’s full name, Peregrine. It’s unusual just like him.

Foaly

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer
Yes, another Artemis Fowl character. What can I say? This series is full of unusual names I adore..
Foaly is one of my favorite characters. He’s a centaur and I loooove hi sname. 😀

Rhine Ellery

Wither by Lauren DeStefano
This book and series is one of my favorites and I ADORE Rhine’s name. It fits with the story and with her.

Varen Nethers

Nevermore by Kelly Creagh
Ah, isn’t his name one of the most unusual/beautiful names ever? Thanks for Jenn (Book Bird Reviews) for reminding me!

Tamani

Wings by Aprilynne Pike
Another one of my favorite series and I love Tamani to death. He’s the reason where my love for faeries comes from. I never knew how to pronounce it correctly until I saw a video of Aprilynne using it in the right way.

Finnick Odair

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
This name was he first one I came up with. It’s my favorite name from all the Hunger Games books but really, these books are all full of unusual names.

Ryodan

Iced by Karen Marie Moning
Another Fever series name. There are also a lot unusal names there and I must admit I never did really figure out how to pronounce this name the right way either.

Artemis Fowl

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer
And of course I can’t forget one of my ultimate favorite names! Artemis Fowl! Although ‘Artemis’ is considered a girly name, Arty here rocks it!

Finnick Odair!! How did I forget all of The Hunger Games books?! There are so many great names there, but definitely Finnick is up there!!

  3. I loved Rhine, too! (Then again, I love all nature names, pretty much!) And Finnick… seeing this one a lot and it is great. 😀 As for Ryodan, that's an interesting one. Hadn't heard of it before, but I kinda like it! Thanks for sharing, Stephanie! 🙂
