I’m not picking a favorite book of September because there were too many that I absolutely loved like Queen of Shadows, Empire of Storms, Every Exquisite Thing, A Deeper Love and The Evolution of Man. September was a really good reading month and I listened to a lot of audiobooks as well! My free month on Scribd ended so I doubt I’ll listen to as many in October. I might re-subscribe in the future, though. 🙂

What was your favorite book of September?

  1. Wow, you read so many books last month! I read Every Heart a Doorway in September as well and I gave it the exact same rating. I also taught The Canterville Ghost last year, that was fun!

    Have a wonderful week!

  2. I haven't, have you? I didn't think the book was really my sort of thing, so I didn't plan on watching the movie – maybe I should do both?

  3. You read a lot of winners this month (and a lot of books). Yikes about the Anne Rice book; I've never read anything by her.

Sorry you didn't love TATBILB more!

  4. Looks like you are all ready to dive into Kingdom of Ash….I'm ready for it but not emotionally prepared lol. Looks like you had a much more productive Sept. than myself! Happy reading into October!

  5. That one Anne Rice book was so freaking weird. I kept thinking what the actual fuck. xD

I think I would've liked it more if I'd read it as a physical book or e-book so might have to re-read it sometime. I loved the movie, though!

  6. Bookworm Brandee

Hmm, looks like someone's a fan of Cassandra Clare. 😉 I think the best book I read in September is Someone I Used to Know by Patty Blount. I hope your October reading queue is full of great books! 🙂

  7. The Candid Cover YA book blogg

You really did have a good reading month! I am jealous that you were able to fit those big SJM books into your schedule. I hope that October is just as amazing for you. 🙂

  8. I picked up The Witching Hour a few years after I read The first three Vampire Chronicles books and thought I would love it, but I couldn't finish it. ?

For September I have a tie between Record of a Spaceborn Few and The Essex Serpent for best September read. I loved them both. ?✨

  9. Lots of Sarah J Maas there! I'm surprised you didn't like Every Heart A Doorway more actually :/ I want to read that one! Would be curious to know more of your thoughts actually… are you going to review it?
