My Favorite Audiobooks

Hello fellow bookworms! I hope you’re all having a great day. A few days ago I realized that by now I’ve read my fair share of audiobooks so I thought it would be fun to share my favorites with you all today, in no certain order.

Amanda Noble, #zoolife by Lesa Boutin

I listened to this audiobook when I was just getting into them but it’s easily one of my faves. The story will make you wish you lived in a zoo so if you’re an animal lover (who isn’t?) you’ll adore this book just as I did.

I always enjoy books by in60Learning. You can read them in less than an hour and they’re always super fascinating. It was the same with this audiobook and I definitely hope to listen to more in the future. This one is especially great if you want to learn more about Native American history + the narrator was a really good one.
Humanism: The Untold Tale by Chirag Patel & Rishabh Prasad

Another nonfiction audiobooks. I don’t think anyone will be surprised by this. If you’re like me and only know the basic things about humanism I think you will enjoy learning more about it. I certainly did. It’s a really interesting topic and the authors taught me a lot. It’s a short audiobook so that’s pretty nice as well.
Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa

This was probably the most surprising audiobook I’ve ever read. I hadn’t read a book by Julie Kagawa since the Iron Fey says and I never finished that series so I was pretty sure I wouldn’t like this book so much. But oh was I wrong! I ended up really enjoying it. It was funny, action-packed and made my heart hurt. Also, I’m currently listening to the sequel which I am enjoying just as much.

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer

Of course Artemis Fowl has to be on this list. I’ve listened to the audiobook a few times already and it’s definitely one of the best audiobooks out there. Mayeb I’m biased since this book is my number one favorite of all time but I really do think it’s highly entertaining and I love the accent of the narrator. So fun!

A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer

Now this one requires a little backstory. When I read the first book of this series, A Curse So Dark and Lonely, I didn’t like it at all. I’m not gonna go into the reasons why but I just wasn’t impressed by it. So when the sequel was released  last month I decided to give it a try on audiobook instead of buying a physical copy and I fucking loved it. So you see you should never give up on a series after one book you didn’t like. It’s my favorite book of the year so far.

So what are your favorite audiobooks?

  1. I really need to start on Brigid Kemmerer's series! Over the last year or so I've really been getting into audiobooks. I liked The Golden Compass because it had a full cast recording.

  2. I am so happy that the audiobook for a Heart so fierce and broken worked out so well. I mostly read epic or high fantasy on audiobook but I did read 2 nonfiction audiobooks and really enjoyed reading nonfiction like that, so I should do that more.
