As a romance novelist, I’m facing my worst nightmare—writer’s block.

No matter what I write, I hit delete, knowing it’s not worth publishing. The future of my career rests on the success of this new book.

So, here I am, looking at Tumblr, desperate for inspiration, when I hear a thumping. Annoyed by the music blaring through the walls, I barge into the hall and bang on my neighbor’s door.

My very hot, very naughty neighbor, Jake Morreau.

Jake is romantic, charming, and the bane of my existence. I need to work, yet he refuses to let me.

When he greets me in the hallway, ideas of a sinfully hot hero come to mind.

When he takes me out on the town, the words flow as soon as I come home.

The more time I spend with this entertaining and quick-witted man, the more I’m able to write.

My neighbor is my muse, and before I know it, I slowly become the heroine of my own story, but I don’t know how to end it.

As I write the epilogue, I’m afraid our romance won’t pan out as I’ve written.

Jake Morreau is my hero.

Then again, in my life, heroes don’t exist.

Naughty Neighbor is part of a series where you can read each book as a standalone. Each book will feature a guy with a different Zodiac sign. In this one’s case the Zodiac sign is Libra.

This book is about Lacey Rivers, an indie romance author who’s pretty successful with her self-published books and is on the verge on being signed by a publisher, if her next book does well. There’s only one problem… she has a major case of writer’s block. Enter her sexy neighbor Jake Morreau. The more he comes around the more inspiration she’s getting.

It was such a joy to read this book! I really enjoyed it and I kept smiling pretty much throughout the whole story. I both loved Lacey and Jake. Their interactions were so fun to read about and I love how they were opposites with her being an introvert and him being more extroverted. They definitely had the opposites attract chemistry going.

Also, I loved how Jake works as a florist. I’ve never come across that in a contemporary romance (or any book at all actually) but I was all there for it. And surprisingly he also turned out to be a huge space nerd and knew many things about the stars, which I loved and swooned over.

Overall, Naughty Neighbor by Jeannine Colette and Lauren Runow is one of those books that all that once will make you swoon, smile like crazy and just keep turning the pages because there’s no way you can stop reading. I’m a fan!
