Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl

This week’s topic:
Books I’d Want With Me While Stranded On a Deserted Island

I was thinking that if I were stranded on a deserted island I would finallyyyy have time to reread all my favorites so here they are + quotes!

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer

“If I win, I’m a prodigy. If I lose, then I’m crazy. That’s the way history is written.”

Airman by Eoin Colfer

“Connor Broekhart was born to fly, or more accurately he was born flying.”

Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost

“Kitten, you need to make a decision. Either we stay here and behave or we leave now and I promise you”—his voice dipped lower and the words fell against my lips—“if we leave, I won’t behave.”

Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning

“Last night you said you wanted to know what to expect so you could better select your attire. I told you we were going to visit a vampire in a Goth-den tonight. Why, then, Ms. Lane, do you look like a perky rainbow?”

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

“If I let myself love you, I won’t throw myself in front of her. I’ll throw myself in front of you.”

The Host by Stephenie Meyer

“It’s not the face, but the expressions on it. It’s not the voice, but what you say. It’s not how you look in that body, but the thing you do with it. You are beautiful.”

Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

“I hope your bacon burns.”

A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin

“But it is one thing to read about dragons and another to meet them.”

Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson

“Let me tell you something straight off. This is a love story, but not like any you’ve ever heard. The boy and the girl are far from innocent. Dear lives are lost. And good doesn’t win.”

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

“Be glad of your human heart, Feyre. Pity those who don’t feel anything at all.”

? Have you read any of these books?

  1. Great picks! I love the quote from A Court of Thorns and Roses, I know it’s quite a popular one too so I’ll have to look into reading it 🙂

    • I’ll warn you, the book isn’t very similar to the movie. I liked the movie on its own, it was entertaining, but I can’t help but wish it had been closer to the book.

  2. Ah, re-reading is the absolute best! I love rediscovering old favorites so much – last winter I re-read the ACOTAR series and loved it! Also, I kind of already want to read The Night Huntress series, even though I just barely finished it haha 🙂 The Darkfever series is on my TBR to read, I’ve heard so many good things!

  3. Oh goodness. So many of my own favorites here! Sarah J. Maas’s books, Howl, Fever series, Vampire Academy series, Host, and Bones *ahem*. Good things to take to that island. 🙂
