Shoot Down the Stars was a emotionally raw story about finding yourself and allowing yourself to be loved the way you deserve. The level of realness was heartbreaking, the characters went through so many struggles, yet by the end, I was left with a smile on my face. — Charity B. Author of Skeleton King

Lauren Biel is an up-and-coming author who loves to write angsty emotion romances, Traumances if you will. When she’s not working, she’s writing. When she’s not writing, she’s spending time with her husband, her friends, or her pets. You might also find her on a horseback trail ride or sitting beside a waterfall in Upstate New York. She has a pretty normal life, yet her stories are anything but normal.
Lauren’s stories are often emotionally raw, with lots of twists and turns. She describes her writing as “where light meets dark”, which represents how her witty humor compliments the darkness in every story. Instead of trying to mold her writing to fit in a box, she chooses to be unapologetically herself. Genre is no constraint for her, ranging from new age, to post-apocalyptic, and even paranormal. And everything in between! The common theme in every book is finding love when you least expect it. She enjoys putting her characters through tribulations, allowing their triumphs to be that much more poignant. Make sure you have your seatbelts secured. It’s always a bumpy ride.
Raw, gritty stories are right up our alley, aren’t they, Stephanie? ?Sounds promising!
Absolutely! 😀
This sounds very dark, which is probably why I want to read it, lol. Thanks for sharing, Stephanie!
I thought you might like it 😛
I’m not into dark books, but thanks for sharing for those that are!
We all have our favorite genres and topics for books ?
It’s interesting to see how the bond between them has lasted for so many years despite the obstacles!
Their bond definitely sounds solid!
Probably a bit too dark for me, but it does sound interesting! 😉
I love book trailer’s, I wish every book would have them
Agreed! Book trailers are so awesome!
Drug addiction? Hmm, can’t remember the last time I came across that theme in a New Adult/ YA book. Looks interesting!
