Happy end of August! Is anyone else just ready for autumn? I know I am!
This month I read 15 books and had quite a few new favorites. How the Wallflower Was Won, The Blood Curse, A Shadow in the Ember and I’m Glad My Mom Died were especially amazing!

Have you read any of these books?
What was your favorite book of the month?
15 books, wow! You were on a roll, Stephanie *applause* I got on a reading slump this Summer because I needed to re-charge a bit 😣 but I’m always happy to see titles popping up on my feed, so thanks for that 😉
I don’t even know how I managed 15 even with catching Covid this month 😂
Wow, 15 books!! That’s awesome! And yes, I am totally ready for fall, too!
Fall is the superior season!
You have so many amazing books on this list! I have yet to read Book of Night, and I am glad to see that you enjoyed it. I hope that you enjoy your September reads! 🙂
Book of Night was right up my alley! 😀
Great month, Stephanie! You have quite a few 5 star reads. Hope fully September will be just as awesome😁
I’ll probably read less since school starts again in September but I’m sure I’ll be able to fit some good ones in!
15 books is good. I have not read any of them, but heard about Jeanette McCurdy’s book. Sounds very interesting.
I’m Glad My Mom Died was very heavy but so courageous of Jennette to write. Hopefully it’ll open some people’s eyes to how abusive child acting can be.
That’s a pretty good number of books! I want to read Holly Black, and that cover of Ravenous is nice.
You sure did have a great month of reading! I’ve heard so many wonderful things about I’m Glad My Mom Died
Haven’t read one. Great job though! Happy September!
I’m so ready for autumn too! Definitely the best season 🙂
Also, yay for The Blood Curse! I already miss Lyre again…
I’m glad to hear you enjoyed Book of Night. I started it a few weeks ago and read chapter 1, but had some trouble getting into it so I haven’t picked it up again… But people seem to love it and I do love the premise, so I think I just need to push a bit further and I’ll love it too 🙂
Love the cover for In the Ravenous Dark! Is it vampire lore? And “I’m glad my mom died” is such a difficult title but not surprising given the subject matter. I’d have liked to read The Modern Depression Guidebook just because of the really clever cover art but I see it fared only 1 of 5 🙁
That a lot of good books read in August.
Have a great September reading month.
