Happy end of August! Is anyone else just ready for autumn? I know I am!
This month I read 15 books and had quite a few new favorites. How the Wallflower Was Won, The Blood Curse, A Shadow in the Ember and I’m Glad My Mom Died were especially amazing!

    • I’m Glad My Mom Died was very heavy but so courageous of Jennette to write. Hopefully it’ll open some people’s eyes to how abusive child acting can be.

    Also, yay for The Blood Curse! I already miss Lyre again…
    I’m glad to hear you enjoyed Book of Night. I started it a few weeks ago and read chapter 1, but had some trouble getting into it so I haven’t picked it up again… But people seem to love it and I do love the premise, so I think I just need to push a bit further and I’ll love it too 🙂

  2. Love the cover for In the Ravenous Dark! Is it vampire lore? And “I’m glad my mom died” is such a difficult title but not surprising given the subject matter. I’d have liked to read The Modern Depression Guidebook just because of the really clever cover art but I see it fared only 1 of 5 🙁
