Nonfiction November is hosted by Doing Dewey, What’s Nonfiction, The OC Bookgirl, Plucked from the Stacks and She Seeks Nonfiction.

Nonfiction November is finally here again! This is my third year participating and once again I’m so excited to share all the nonfiction love with you all. 💖

My Year In Nonfiction

Take a look back at your year of nonfiction and reflect on the following questions

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE NONFICTION READ OF THE YEAR?

The War That Made the Roman Empire: Antony, Cleopatra, and Octavian at Actium by Barry Strauss

I had been highly anticipating Barry Strauss’ new book (I think it had been three years since his last??) and I had hoped to enjoy it of course but I hadn’t expected to love it as much as I did. It was simply outstanding!

My Review

DO YOU HAVE A PARTICULAR TOPIC YOU’VE BEEN ATTRACTED TO MORE THIS YEAR?

Drop Dead Dangerous: The Lethal Attraction of Road Trip Killer, Paul John Knowles by Ryan Green

History nonfiction is still my favorite but this year I’ve been trying to branch out a bit with reading more true crime and memoirs.

My Review

WHAT NONFICTION BOOK HAVE YOU RECOMMENDED THE MOST?

I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

This was a memoir I started in the spur of the moment because I had been hearing great things about it and I ended up really enjoying it. It wasn’t for the faint of heart, obviously, but it was very gripping.

WHAT ARE YOU HOPING TO GET OUT OF PARTICIPATING IN NONFICTION NOVEMBER?

My answer to this question is yet again a simple one. I hope to discover more nonfiction bloggers and of course more nonfiction books to add to my TBR.

Are you participting in Nonfiction November too?
Have you read any of the books I mentioned?
