Welcome to my top 10 of 2022!

Today’s post is about my ten favorite books of the year. It’s a nice mix of romance, fantasy and nonfiction. I also added in some quotes!

The Love Hypothesis | Payback’s a Witch

“I’m starting to wonder if this is what being in love is. Being okay with ripping yourself to shreds, so the other person can stay whole.”

— The Love Hypothesis

A Coin for the Ferryman | A Shadow in the Ember

“I want to kiss you, even though there is no reason for me to other than I want it.” The heated intensity of his stare held mine. “I would even go as far as to say I need to.”

— A Shadow in the Ember

The War That Made the Roman Empire | Cruel Summer

“History is full of examples of generals done in by their own blind spots: from a willingness of the Persian fleet to sail into the Greek’s trap in the Salamis straits; to the legions that marched into Arminius’s ambush in the Teutoburg Forest; to the American warships and airplanes that were easy pickings for the Japanese attackers at Pearl harbor.”

— The War That Made the Roman Empire

Tutankhamun | Wicked Beauty

“Monsters are more effective than princes when it comes to keeping what you care about safe.”

— Wicked Beauty

The Unbreakable Bladesong Druid | How the Wallflower Was Won

“He’d never wanted to be seen as much as he did at that moment, while at the same time, he feared what might happen if she could see down into the soul of him, who he truly was. A restless, trembling yearning ached in his heart, wanting so much from her, but afraid of the thing he most desired.”

— How the Wallflower Was Won

What do you think of my top 10? Have you read any of them?

    • That’s how I felt about The Love Hypothesis, kicking myself for not having read it and when I did I was SO happy with it. Hopefully you can read it in 2023!
