Book Pairings
This week, pair up a nonfiction book with a fiction title. Maybe it’s a historical novel and the real history in a nonfiction version, or a memoir and a novel, or a fiction book you’ve read and you would like recommendations for background reading. Or—because I’m doing this—two books on two different areas have chimed and have a link. You can be as creative as you like! (Liz)
Nonfiction ↠ Weavers, Scribes, and Kings by Amanda H. Podany
Fiction ↠ Babylonia by Costanza Casati
Nonfiction ↠ The Real History of Dracula by Sara Cleto & Brittany Warman
Fiction ↠ Dracula by Bram Stoker
Nonfiction ↠ Divine Might by Natalie Haynes
Fiction ↠ Hera by Jennifer Saint
Nonfiction ↠ Norse Mythology by Kelsey A. Fuller-Shafer
Fiction ↠ Faith of their Fathers by Samuel M. Sargeant
Which book pairing would you like to read the most?
Great pairings, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for stopping by!
I love the Dracula pairing – so fun!
I could also pair Dracula with Lucy Undying by Kiersten White. The party never stops with Dracula 😂
I could never do this in a million years, so well done! You made me even more interested in The Real History of Dracula😁
With this theme I always struggle at first but then I keep finding books to pair 😂
Great pairings. I find these task rather difficult, and am yet to write my post about it. I do like the Haynes/Saint pairing and I am eager to read both books. Being a fan of Antiquity.
You can do it, Lisbeth! I’ve read Divine Might but not yet Hera, although I’ve heard amazing things.
Thank you for your trust. Yes, I am looking forward to both books.
These all sound interesting to me. I am always interested in the real history behind historical fiction!
Yay! 😀
Very nice – I always find it so hard to do these, even though I host the week!
It’s my favorite theme of Nonfiction November but it can be hard sometimes. 😛
I read Babylonia earlier this year and enjoyed it, but the other book in that pairing – Weavers, Scribes, and Kings – is new to me. I would like to read the Natalie Haynes book too. Thanks!
Babylonia was one of my favorite reads of the year! 😀
I read Dracula a couple of years ago, so the real history would be interesting. But my favorite is the pairing for Greek Goddesses. That would be fascinating.
The Real History of Dracula was a really good one!
What interesting pairings. Will need to check these out.
Thanks for stopping by!
I’m definitely most drawn to the Greek mythology pairing, though Norse mythology is super interesting too!
I had to get my mythologies in 😛
Your pairings are so spot-on! I had to work a little to get mine to fit. 🙂 But your books are perfectly matched.
Thank you! I did have to think about it for a while while browsing Goodreads 😛
