Caisey Quinn returns to indie publishing with a grumpy/sunshine, enemies-to-lovers, opposites attract, forced proximity, slow burn cowboy romance that’s as hot as it is heartfelt.
She’s running from the pain in her past.
He’s fighting to protect his family’s future.Wyatt Logan doesn’t have time for distractions. His family’s legacy is hanging by a thread, developers are circling like vultures, and after his father’s sudden unexpected passing, the weight of Triple Creek Ranch rests squarely on his shoulders. The last thing he needs? A high-maintenance Hollywood princess renting the guest cabin on his property.
Ivy Anderson is out of options. Hiding out in small-town Montana was never part of the plan, but after a painful scandal puts her career on hold, she needs an escape. A quiet place to write. To heal. To disappear from the humiliating spotlight. She’s not here to make friends–or to catch the eye of the broody, infuriatingly handsome rancher, who seems to hate her on sight.
But with their cabins only a few yards apart, and Wyatt’s family determined to make Ivy feel welcome, avoiding one another isn’t an option. The only thing more combustible than their tempers is the tension that flares every time their path’s cross.
He’s all rough edges and responsibility. She’s got secrets she can’t afford to tell. They’re complete opposites in every way.
He’s tied to the land in Montana and her life is waiting back in LA. But when the line between love and hate blurs, falling for each other isn’t just possible–it’s inevitable.
TEMPTING WYATT is the first interconnected standalone novel in the Triple Creek Ranch series that centers on a group of siblings as they struggle to save the family ranch while falling hopelessly in love.
I’m so happy to see Caisey Quinn return, and what better way than with a cowboy romance? It was sheer perfection right from page one until the very last word. The story was a real joy to pick up again and again as I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next to the main characters and everyone around them, even the animals!
Ivy Anderson believed nothing could be worse than being a screenwriter with writer’s block. Until she finds her fiance screwing a friend of hers. Packing her things, she impulsively decides to drive out to Montana and renting a cabin on a ranch. She needs space to heal and reconnect with her passion for writing. Winning hearts isn’t on her agenda—least of all the glowering cowboy who seems allergic to her presence.
Since the sudden death of his father, Wyatt Logan carries the full responsibility for Triple Creek Ranch. He pushes himself to the brink, trying to keep the ranch out of developers’ hands. There’s no room in his life for distractions. As if his life weren’t complicated enough, now a beautiful and sassy Hollywood princess is renting his cabin.
But every clash between them, every glance that lingers too long, and every brush of skin, the spark between them burns hotter until it eventually erupts. But the thing is, Ivy is only in Montana for two weeks and it won’t be nowhere near enough for Wyatt, if he has enough courage to let her all the way in.
To say I loved this story is an understatement. I devoured it and still couldn’t get enough. It may have been a while since I read a by this author but she absolutely hasn’t lost her touch. If anything her writing has become even better. The romance was a slow-burn in the most brilliant way and the banter between Ivy and Wyatt was more than entertaining. I also loved learning, along with Ivy, what life on a ranch could be like. And Ivy took it on like a champ. You could clearly watch her fall in love, not only with Wyatt, but also with Triple Creek Ranch. And I definitely couldn’t blame her. Ivy slowly broke down Wyatt’s carefully build walls and made him open up not only to her but also to his family and realize work is just work if he has no one to share the benefits of it with.
Wyatt’s big family deserves needs a mention since they’re also very important to the story. I loved his mother so much and how she accepted Ivy right away. Which for Ivy was a huge deal since her own mother doesn’t seem to want her around. Wyatt’s siblings also already have a big place in my heart. I can’t wait to see which Logan brother or sister will get their own book. They all deserve it! I also need to shout out Jasper the donkey. Clearly he had that big main character energy and I love that for him. I’m so glad Caisey wrote a little bonus epilogue in Jasper’s POV. It was hilarious and now it’s all I want!
Tempting Wyatt by Caisey Quinn is a beautifully written slow burn cowboy romance. It has spice, humor as well as found family and opposites attract vibes. Just like Ivy in this book I fell in love with Triple Creek Ranch, and I already can’t wait to return.
About the author:
I’m a sentimental southern girl who writes emotionally immersive, deeply romantic stories full of slow-burn heat and characters who feel as real as the town you grew up in. Whether it’s a grumpy cowboy, a runaway starlet, or a broken hero who needs the right woman to unravel him, my books are filled with tension, tenderness, and unforgettable happily ever afters.
When I’m not writing new stories, I can be found in a pair of worn-in boots, hiking in the mountains, or plotting on my porch.
Fantastic review, Stephanie! The cowboy/ranch idea is really tempting me, and so is the chemistry between the characters😁
Now all I want to read is cowboy romances!
It’s been some time since I read her books too but I am glad to see she still has her magic touch!
Did you also read Girl with Guitar back in the day?
I can’t resist a cowboy romance!
