From New York Times Bestseller, Pepper Winters, comes a rare standalone romance hot enough to melt your kindle and then burn your house down…
“If you came here to get mauled, Ella…I’m very willing to bite.”
The night of my birthday looked as boring as the rest of my life. Sitting on my own, trying to avoid my insanely gorgeous but horribly mean flatmate, all while waiting for him to leave so I could have a party for one…if you know what I mean.
But that was before I almost crashed on the way home when a big top rolled into town. Before I locked eyes with the hottest guy I’d ever seen swinging a sledgehammer in the rain. Before I read the flyer promoting the newly erected circus. A circus that wasn’t the usual garish carnival…oh, no…this one was most definitely not for children.
Not unless you counted one dirty night full of heinously naughty fun, courtesy of a contraband circus willing to satisfy any desire and wish.
Only problem was…my flatmate decided to visit the big top too. He saw me as I agreed to spend the night with the owner of said naughty circus…and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse.
Both.
Together.I get to be owned by two men, not just one.
I get to live out my wildest fantasies and teach Nicholas Davis a lesson for all those stony scowls and disdainful glances he’s given me.He can have me for one night.
He can do whatever he wants.
But he has to share.
That is his penance.
And I mean to make him suffer…A full list of tropes are listed on Pepper’s website or in the book below the blurb.
Standalone.
Romance.
HEA.
High Heat.
I wouldn’t say I entirely loved One Dirty Night but it was a quick and steamy read that I flew through in no time. It was kinky as hell and if that was all I would be looking for in a book then I would’ve definitely given this a higher rating but the characters kind of frustrated me at times.
When a BDSM circus stopped in town for one night only, Ella decided to go check it out because she finally wants to give into her secret fantasies. It was her birthday after all. It also helped that she saw a really hot guy setting things up earlier that day. At the circus she runs into that same guy who introduces himself as Hunter and happens to be the owner of the dirty circus and they agree to spend the night together. But plot twist! Her roommate, Nick, catches them at that exact moment and wants in on the action.
I liked Ella at the start of the book and I found her to be brave to go to the circus, not knowing what or who she would run into there. My like for her dwindled a little down after that but it was Nick that really annoyed me. He had been living together with Ella for seven months and pining for her this whole time but still hadn’t confessed to his feeling or even be civil to her. If that was all it was it would’ve been fine, like I get it, he was scared for reasons. But after their dirty night together with Hunter he continued treating her pretty shitty. That guy just really bugged me.
Hunter was really the only character that I did enjoy reading about. I liked his circus and what he did on the background of it, saving people who’d been abused. I thought he was also really great with Ella and Nick as they spend the night with him. Also, he was soooo hot!
One Dirty Night by Pepper Winters was delicous and smutty. Although I didn’t totally love everything about it, I appreciate that it was a quick and kinky read, which is always a fun time.
About the author:
On a career level, Pepper currently has close to 40 books released in nine languages. She’s hit best-seller lists (USA Today, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal) almost 40 times. She dabbles in multiple genres, ranging from Dark Romance to Coming of Age.
On a personal level, Pepper lives on a farm with two minis, four horses, countless birds and wildlife, and a precious little ball of fluff called Mo. Her little house-rabbit sits at her feet while writing all the words, and always seems to know when she’s writing a naughty scene. He’s her muse and the main reason why a rabbit is on her author logo.
I like the idea of a dirty circus but I think Nick would bother me too!
God he was annoying.
Ooh, spicy! Love the circus aspect. Nick sounds like a tool, though!
I do like the idea of this, but I agree that frustrating characters would also annoy me. Nick sounds especially annoying, especially if there’s no character growth at all!
I guess there is sharing the girl ??? I recently am struggling with very hot romance and that’s a pity as I used to adore them!
Yes but the girl ends up with the one guy eventually. The threesome was hot but everything else was *just* fine. So meh.
Great cover
