Worldview Shapers
One of the greatest things about reading nonfiction is learning all kinds of things about our world which you never would have known without it. There’s the intriguing, the beautiful, the appalling, and the profound. What nonfiction book or books have impacted the way you see the world in a powerful way? Is there one book that made you rethink everything? Do you think there is a book that should be required reading for everyone?
I’m Glad My Mom Died | Battle Elephants & Flaming Foxes | Antigone Rising
Years That Changed History: 1215 | Creation Stories of the Ancient World

What books do you think are worldview shapers?
I’m Glad My Mom Died is a book I’d love to squeeze in at some point😁
I felt so bad for Jennette McCurdy when I was reading it 🙁
As a mom, I’ve been scared off by the title of “I’m Glad My Mom Died.” lol. But my daughter read it and said I shouldn’t be afraid. 🙂 So I’m glad to see it here on your list; I’ll officially add it to my tbr list now. Thanks!
Well, Jennette McCurdy’s mom was crazy absusive and I’m sure you’re not like her. It’s a must-read though!
Ooh, that is a hard question to answer! These are all great choices, though!
Thanks for stopping by!
Antigone Rising looks so interesting! I saw it in an earlier post of yours and it’s going on my TBR 🙂
Great post! Gotta love books that have the power to make you rethink everything!
Absolutely!
I don’t think I’ve gone through any of the Great Courses materials on my own, although I remember a few being used in classes I took. You’ve got an interesting collection! Thanks for sharing!
I really love some of the Great Courses. So fascinating!
Probably all of them in their own ways. As you I read a lot of nonfiction history. You think that we should learn from mistakes in history, but it seems not. Looking at world affairs today, I tend to read more nonfiction on history than contemporary history.
I love Great Courses! They certainly do open up my worldview. I keep thinking I will have the courage to read I’m Glad My Mom Died, but I haven’t yet.
